Default O2 sensor question

A buddy of mine is going to be installing a set of headers on his truck this weekend and need to know if it will be ok to drive the truck from his house to the nearbye muffler shop with all the O2 sensors unplugged? he modded his y pipe and is going to redo it again for the new headers. going with a 3in y and 3.5 after that with no cats.he is going to run 1 O2 sensor with simms for the rear. but question is, is it ok to run with o2s unplugged completely?

It will run, but you will throw a code. Aren't the sensors in the header though? Why unplug them at all? You may have to get the code reset if it doesn't do it by itself.

Leave the ones in the headers still plugged in
the rear ones are ok to leave unplugged
You'll have to be on the gas to keep it running
don't plan on going to far with open headers
Real Cop magnet ,there nice and loud <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

ok i didnt want to admit it but the truck im talking about is a dodge Indy Ram. it only has 2 sensors 1 b4 the cat and 1 after. hes going to have to take off the Y pipe he has now completely to install the new headers. As long as it will run and wont "bust into flames and melt" hes not going to care. and being loud is good around our town! so basically gonna run like hell but he can make it right?
