Default Not happy with performance at all

I have the following mods and Im just not impressed as of now. I just got another wheatley tune put in yesterday. I have raced a few trucks and Im the same or a little better pretty sure all they have is exaust and intake. It barely even breaks the tires loose when I smash on it. The stall does flash at 2800 and Im still one legging it. Probably wont even break loose at all with a trutrac in there. I know the tune takes a few days to learn to the truck but my God this thing is a dog.

215/220 cam, dual springs, titanium retainers, pushrods
performabuilt trans and 2800 stall by performabuilt
cut cats out and replaced with test pipe
magnaflow dumped
homemade 4 inch intake
k and n air filter in stock box with 5 inch hole cut out of the plate
wheatley tune

Its an 03 ECSB with a 5.3

Should I give up now and save up for a vette or what? All this money and its a little frustrating. I have a whipple sitting in my living room but not sure I want to throw that headers and a trutrac on unless this thing is going to fly!!

with LTs I noticed a pretty decent difference over stock, I think its something you have to pay real close attention to. Your cam shoulda given u a **** load of power specially with the tune for it cuz right now my trucks misfireing a little and running like complete dog **** but I still feel that cam pull. You also have a heavy truck as well. I would put the LTs on and save that y-pipe in all incase ur unsatisfied still. But all in all if ur not satisfied what'd u waste? couple hrs? Then turn around and sell em and go for the corvette or whatever suits u better. just my .02

Lets back up, what did you expect? I see about 25-30 measurable RWHP in your mods. SOTP/BUTT dynos may not pick that up.

x2

you cant really feel 30 hp, get you some juice on it, or supercharge it if you want to feel a big difference. nitrous is the cheapest hp you can get..

cams usually only make a couple tenths of a second difference, thats VERY hard to feel.

OK I was thinking a little more than that. Maybe 50 with cam and tune. Oh well. Guess I'll buy some injectors and get that whipple on.

I can't/ won't tell u your combo is mismatched or whatnot. I'll say this. I threw plugs in bros 01 Z06(385hp stk). Only mods: intk & CAGS. B4 plugs ran like chit; after, goes like stink. Then I drove my truck(see sig). Thought, what a slug! But, I'd rather mod my truck to go that fast. I like things that don't appear as u think. Every Vette, F, Goat,etc...they're expected to be at a given performance level. But when a truck beats what they have no right to...now that takes effort, & it'll be sweet victory. See 4.8T vid of his wife spankin a Stang. Oh...say my truck is $25k vs $50k for Vette. Let me put $25k( if u want = dollars). I'll be spankin some **** then.

benifit of the doubt i give it 30-40...probably not that high without good exhaust to support the intake and cam.

thats not true. when i got my live tune from Wheatley. i always have heard you get 20-25 from a tune. i only have a tune, gmpp cold air intake, and a BORLA muffler. not near as much as he does. and yes you WILL feel a 30hp gain. i did.
