I don't think you can turn the slicks over with your mods[3.42 gears and G80].You will not believe how well the Drag Radials will hook.Besides if push comes to shove you can drive them to and from the track.My Tahoe turned 1.80 sec. 60' times with 3.73s and a G80 with those tires.
