Default New times with the TT3000

Best ET was a 15.061 @ 90.41 with a 2.24 60'

Highest speed was 15.109 @ 91.76 with a 2.41 60'

All these runs were very traction limited! The last run was made with no exhaust from Y-pipe back, no tailgate, no 150# speaker box, and no air filter.

The first run I hit the throttle about half way then floored it, all the rest were basically stabbing it off the line and feathering it. I couldn't quite get the half throttle launch thing down. After removing excess weight (including exhaust ) it felt like it was running stronger but was still traction limited.

Tires,an Eaton posi and a set 4.10s would really help. With the 3.42s you are probably still in 2nd gear running a 1/4mi,3.73s wouldn't be enough gear and an Eaton or Auburn Pro difference would make big difference in traction.

Definantly need a set of slicks for the stock rims and a set of crap tires for the front.

At the end, I have to shift into 3rd just before the trap. If I could bump the rev limiter up some I could make it a 2nd gear pass. If I could bump the rev limiter up though, I could also advance the timing which would make it quicker and I would still need to shift into 3rd at the end.

I need a tranny, rear, slick, and EDIT. Then I can put the blower on and run some low numbers. There was a lightning that ran a best of 12.9x. It looked stock under the hood. I didn't see a bottle in the truck, and I didn't pay much attention to the pulley to see if it were cleaner lookin than the rest of it.

12.9 Lightning is a very simple bolton combo and tires. their motors are amazing from teh factory.

also i would like to know the actual gain in performance with that convertor. that is a pretty loose convertor for a big PU truck.

I would LOVE to know the gain as well. I need some real tires to know for sure though. I'm with you, I think it might be a little much for a truck. I liked the street manors MUCH more of that TT2600 I had. Maybe it will stiffen up a little more. I've noticed that it is a little stiffer than when I drove it home.

Would anyone like to donate to the Flyer tire fund?

Flyer, just put a set of BFG Drag Radials on the stock wheels. They are cheap and will stick hard enough to smash a G80,you won't have a traction problem.

255/50/16,they are 26" tall so they will help your gearing.Try them with about 16-20psi to avoid wheel hop.

I got to looking ... Do you think it would be just as cheap in the long run to go a 100 bucks more and get the slicks?
28x10x16 Hoosier slicks ...
