Sounds like you got it fixed before I got A chance to help. I was goint to tell you that besides the fact that nitrous makes the incoming air very cold when it turns from liquid to gas, it also enriched the oxygen content of the air, making the mix ignite quicker. That means that less timing with nitrous is = to more timing NA. You don't lower your timing with nitrous just to prevent detonation, its because with nitrous you dont need the timing as high. Kinda like having 32*s timing NA when it doesnt make any more power than 27*s, just adds more detonation.
Make yourself a couple of LS1 edit files just in case you have the chance to change them between runs. Also, you can set the beloved TOW/HAUL button for completely different shift / converter settings. Say you have to run in 2nd gear, have tow / haul programmed for a 2nd to 1st gear downshift at very low mph, meaning you can get a longer dyno run (3000 rpms). Also, you could have TOW off for a non lockup converter run, and TOW on set for a converter locked run. Default is no lockup at all in2nd gear. Then you can see how much power and rpms you lose with the converter unlocked. Too bad you only get 3 pulls.
