Exclamation Need Help ASAP with Tahoe 5.3

I am having a problem with my 2007 Chevy Tahoe. The other day after work I was getting ready to go home, I climbed in the truck and it would not start....It would not even crank. I knew that the battery was not low. Tried like a million times and nothing. I even turned the key to on and moved the shifter down to 1st and back to park, and then it started. As I was driving off the traction light came on and on the display center said I needed to service my traction system, the abs light and check engine also came on. The tranny would have a hard time shifting, also the gauges would not work and it would keep locking and unlocking the doors. I finally got home and the freaking truck would not start again: bang: I tried moving the shifter but nothing worked this time, I finally gave up and went to bed. In the morning I came out and the truck started right up and all the warning lights were off. It work fine for about 1 week and half and just now my wife calls me to tell the truck will not start again? WTF I baby this truck, keep up with the service and this is what I get. Can someone tell me what could be causing this.

It sounds like you have a loose ground. I don't know the location exactly on tahoes of your vintage, but lay up under the i/p and see if you can see a ground in the area. Sounds like you probably just jarred it a little with the shifter moving saga.

In my experience you don't see too many BTSI (Brake Transmission Shift Interlock), problems come and go, they are either broke or not. The range switches in the trannies get metal powder on top of them and have trouble after alot of miles, but other than that the systems that make sure you are in neutral when starting don't usually have any trouble...

Isn't an 07 tahoe covered by a 5 year,100,000 Mile warranty??? take it in and let them hook up the Factory scanner and check the stored history for Failures... I Just got my hands on a GM tech 2. The Same one they use at the dealer and I was supprised what I found stored in the history for Faliures on both GM vehicals I own. All though my sub runs fine I had a failure code that did not show up on any other generic scanner because it has not set a check engine light. Looks like I have a lazy 02 sensor. Also I thought I cleared the code for the ABS wheel sensor faliure I had when the sub got wrecked. But It shows up as a stored faliure. I have no training whatsoever with this but if the dealer can't find and fix a problem with this tool either there not using it at all, or there dumber then a box of Rocks! No wonder we lost 6 dealers in the general area.

lol I don't even want to bother with them anymore. The touch screen navigation gave out in the same truck when it was only about a year and a half old and the said that the warranty was out on it. They never did anything to try and fix it. as a matter of fact even the controls on the steering wheel gave out and they did not do a darn thing about it.

Did they say why the warranty is out? have you done anything to it.

I'd go get the papers on it from when you purchased it and be like "look here".

the u0073 is a control modules communication bus off. the p0700 it trans control system malfunction. sounds like your communication bus is broke or just the tcm is bad and giving bad signals.

But why would I have a hard time getting it to start sometimes?

if the tcm doesn't say "hey i'm good" its not gonna work. it don't want you to start in gear or if there is an issue that may mess up the trans. so the ecm and tcm and the bcm have to all talk to each other and all has to be "A OK".
