Got an idea for you bro, buy me a set of Morel lifters, new oil pump, new rings, hone job, block vatted, the tools to do it with, pay off my other bills, fix my window that is broke cause my **** got broken into, tell my boss to stop working me 75 hours a week and Ill get right on it. I have other htings going on in my life besides myt ruck, the truck has been on the back burner for a while now. I dont have time to mess with it, IM burnt out on working on it and if I never get the POS to the track its m business. I built my truck to run on the street thus its 4wd and I race people on the street. Track times dont impress me, the conditions there are perfect, the street is not. I can beat an 11 second camaro from a dig to 100 but not at a track because of the different conditions obviously. I know Im making solidly 500 at the crank. 461 isnt impressive for the kind of money you would have to drop to get one from them. It is nice from that little CI but not nice for the price. Not everything meets the eye. Chill out dude and take a chill pill.

I was mistaken on the #'s sorry everyone, hear is the post.

Hello Guys, last Friday when I picked up my engine, I had a 6L waiting for me on the dyno to tune. It's a completely stock engine with no mods, right out of the crate.

This engine put out 311HP and 351TQ on the first pull.

I wanted to see what timing did as it was increased:

Stock - 14-16degs : 311hp/351tq
Tuned- 20 degs : 350hp/380tq
Tuned- 25 degs : 356hp/390tq
Tuned- 30 degs : 357hp/392tq

Fully tuned with a/f ratio and max timing of 31 degs:
367HP/401TQ

Gains: 56HP/50TQ

There might have been a few more ponies left if we leaned it out just a few more points, but their wide-band wasn't working right.

Next time: stock 6.0L with 224/228cam and
FAST intake vs Truck intake.

btw just an fyi, the last 6L I tuned down there was an LQ9 that put out 441hp with a 224 cam, I was mistaken, I told you guys it was an LQ4.

I also was mistaken it had minor head work too. But it don't.

I do know and seen the ecsb truck with the nickens motor in it run 12.9 at the track with only tailgate and spare tire removed, minor boltons, shorties,cold air intake, tune.

I thought it looked like a piece of a helicoil. Only thing that large is the oil level sending unit and I don't think I've ever seen a helicoil in there.
