Default 6.0 oil cooler - the opening is there, but not the cooler

I noticed on the 6.0, it has a place above the oil filter that looks like an oil cooler was on this engine - but it didn't come with it. Will I have to go to the dealer to get that piece that's missing before I can attach a cooler?

Do you have a 34" radiator with the Driver's side oil cooler in it? Because if you do then you can get the new block with the lines that should bolt up like the factory setup, I just don't know the PN and the dealers around here can't help me.

Can you get the Part Numbers please?

I don't have the 34" radiator. It's a 2004 truck, the engine is from a 2005. Is the "block" the piece that bolts up to that opening?

That piece is on all LSx engines. If you want an oil cooler just remove it and install the cooler lines plus a new radiator.

I just used the block-off plate from my 4.8L when I did my swap.

I may do that for the time being. I'm not sure that an oil cooler will be neccesary for my setup?

Block it off. No need. Its there for the HD truck pulling heavy loads.

Weird, mine came with the lines, although they were not attached to the motor on the crate, just laying next to it. I have a 34" radiator too, so I guess I got lucky
