Default My truck build / motor swap is under way

I'm building a 1984 GMC Sierra w/ a fully built 383 stroker w/ TH350 & Ford 9" rear end w/ 411 gears and a Strange spool. The motor is in my Chevy Nova but will be coming out soon after the truck gets back from the paint booth. I'll keep updating as it progresses.

Sounds fun.... reminds me of my 1991 that I dropped a 383 in. Mine only ran 14.20's due to having a open diff 14 bolt... but it was great fun to hang a fender on a new mustang and lead him the whole 1/4 mile. Even better was seeing him pack up and move his pit area away from the "work truck" that hurt his pride.

You're going to have some fun

Thanks...

This should be an interesting project. It was my Dad's truck who had it since it was brand new back in '84. He passed away recently and I acquired the truck so I wanted to keep it running and looking good in memory of him. He was into classic hot rods and had a couple of 69 Camaros back in the day. The truck right now is getting extremely overhauled on the inside and out with a new paint job, wheels, drop, shaved areas and then the motor swap out of my Nova. I'm also doing the 9" rear swap so that should be fun. I'll post pics when I get the truck back from the shop. I'm doing the motor swap right here in my garage. Please give me any pointers if you like.

Ouch! Did a tree hit the rear of the Nova or what? I had a 71 Nova a few years back that was a street/drag car. Going to be a fun build.

Ouch... that had to hurt! RIP Nova! Hello birth of the OBS Sleepa!!!

That's gonna be sweet when ya get it goin. Hey, you DO have the V8 frame brackets under the hood, right? What motor is (or was) in the truck before the 383 came into the picture?
