Let us know how it goes. Your story parallels mine almost exactly... I had trouble with the boost valve and then the scarf ring on the 4th apply piston. No 4th! What I'm curious about now is how much difference does the one washer make? I also installed the billet servo and 1 washer and 1-2 seems a little to harsh. I've been contenplating removing the washer or even reinstalling the stock spring and arrangement back in the 2nd accumulator. So you get to be the guinea pig!

You would be surprised ... the washer makes a good bit of difference. If I were you I would get a billet piston to fit in there also.

Damn James! What is with you? Glad to hear you got her whooped. I installed the OD billet servo and the 1-2 billet servos on my truck about 4 days ago. Just the servos made a nice difference. When I get back next time The Yank TT3000 is going in with a trans go kit as well. Possibly 4.10 gears as well.

I will give you a shout soon.

Lata,
Sean

letsroll, it was the seal as far as I can see. The seal is missing half of the lip that seals against the bore. So I am searching for a seal kit for the servo's and I will have to call a few places tomorrow.
There is a good difference without the washer. It got to be annoying after a little while. I did like it about the first 3 times it shifted. Part throttle was way too much though. Without the washer in there its perfect. It still chirps the tires at 1/2 to full throttle.
Sean, it was a pain but its ok now, or atleast its driveable. I need to get that seal on the 4th apply piston then I'll be ok. If you have any probs, call me since its fresh. Oh wait do you know how to pick up a phone?

I thought about this earlier ... you need to keep the selector in 3 while it's got that busted seal in there. If not, it will attempt to apply the band, which will cause it to rub, but not grab and build up excessive heat and might burn the band up in there.

I would put the stock servo back in for the time being.

I started doing this when I realized I had no 4th. I figured that would happen so I didn't want to take a chance. I will hopefully get a new seal ordered today, hopefully OVERNIGHT!!
