truck is being towed to Synergy on Monday. if all goes well i will post up numbers and burnout videos next week. this has been a long time coming. and to top it all off i just picked up a 350 fuel injected 1942 ****** jeep. ill get pictures of that today. little girl lifts the front tire in a 4x4 launch.

got the truck back from synergy. cant add timing to the engine without pinging. now im getting multiple cylinder misfires, random engine shut off at idle and a p0336 code and one for the mass air flow. i forgot what the code was.
would a bad crank sensor cause my engine to bog out and misfire? will a crank relearn help the ecu recognize the new crank? going to pull the sensor out and see if the reluctor wheel is loose on the crank and im going to check the end play on the crank to see if i killed the thrust bearings somehow.

is it actually pinging or are the knock sensors just sensing knock and pulling timing. a forged stroker is going to make quite a bit more noise as far as engine harmonics go than a stock setup. rick should know this though and compensate, just thinking out loud.
a bad crank sensor could easily cause a misfire. i would also recommend doing a CASE Relearn whenever a major engine component is replaced. this basicly gets everything synced back together. this would need to be done with a scan tool, or hp tuners, etc.
p0336 is a crank sensor performance code, so i would throw a new one in and see if that helps. i think they're pretty cheap.
let us know what you find. i know this project has been full of ups and downs, but stay with it. i will be worth it in the end.

sorry man i blew the 4l60e up and its been parked. waiting on Jake to ship the stage 3 80E and circle d is restalling a 245mm 5c billet stall for me. i have been completely caught up in setting up and starting up my own shop. in the process of looking for a location in VA and i have been purchasing lifts as i can afford them. as for the engine i am completely in love with it. to the tune of destroying a 60e in the process. Jake said i should have my trans next week and Chris got my stall in on friday so i would think maybe 2 more weeks and i will get some videos up.

How many miles did you get on that 60 before it blew? Im doing a 500HP 6.0 build on my 1500 and will be in the same boat as you. My 60E was just rebuilt and ill be doing a huge tranny cooler, Vet servo and Shift kit with BB tune to try and make it last as long as I can before I have to do the 80 like you.
