I have an LS1 with a TR 224 cam and stock cast manifolds. I already had some of the bolt-ons (e-fans, FIPK, free mods) on there too.

[ricer excuses]
That 13.91 @ 101 was in light of the following drawbacks:
  • still on stock 4.8 tune
  • had a slipping tranny
  • stock torque converter
  • open rear end w/ 3.42s
  • 20" low profile radials
  • 2.4 60'
[/ricer excuses]

I'm pretty happy with the mph--101 in a full size truck should be good for low 13s. With a converter, some gear, traction, and a little luck, I hope to squeak out a 12.99 with it. Only time will tell. Hopefully, the transmission will be getting started soon!

Thats awsome. I think I'm going to go that route (or a 6.0, decisions, decisions) wonder if smog inspectors would notice the aluminum block.

The Jet SCU 2000 totaly gets rid of the top speed limiter. I hit @ 155 on Rosevelt going past the base. 130 was pretty easy, but 155 took a long time. I had a friend in his Z28 hanging beside me till i couldnt go anymore.

Scream, you know on 16, coming back from Gainesville that 5-6 mile long straitaway? Its sloped downhill part of it. I toped it on motor, and started spraying on the steeper downhill part going past the turn thats a short cut to middleburg. I dont know exactly how fast i was going, i was guesstimating, but i do know i pulled way ahead of my friend in his Z. At @155 my tach is at about 4800rpms. With the spray i got the tach up to a little over 5500 in forth. My mirrors were vibrating alot, and the truck was feeling light and unstable.

BTW, both of these times were late at night/early in the morning, so there wasnt really any other cars on the road to get in the way. And all the popo's were eating doughnuts.

SE--didn't you get your tuning at Speedcraft?
Just HPP settings and dynoes. I have a friend back home that his dad runs the Wheel and Accesory Performance shop in Burtram Tx. They do alot of D-max and truck tuning there. Only bad part is they are kinda country and use a G-tech vs. buying a real dyno.

Yet another vote for the LS1. I need to get one of those TR 224 cams like Scream has! Mine is all stock right down to the cast manafolds and f-body cats.

And your truck still is sweet! It's the best sleeper of them all!

That would be a sweet price for a long block. Anyone know if a Radix would work on a LS1?
