yellow you do not need a pcm. You can run your truck pcm and it will work fine. it will need a little tuning but allen or a good ls1 edit person can really dial that in.

Why? You don't need the PCM. My truck with an LS1 and a Thunder 224/.563/112 cam and the mostly-stock 4.8 tune in the stock truck PCM went 13.9@101.

Your truck PCM will work just fine!

Yellow 4.8, are you typing your sig into all your posts? hahaha
Just go to "user CP" and then go to edit signature. It'll save you alot of typing. Just a thought.

BTW, another vote for the 5.7. I wish i had one in mine.

Scream, does your LS1 have good low end? I have the same cam in my Z28(114LSA) and the low end is about the same as stock, but above 3600-3800rpms it starts pulling crazy hard. Yours do this too?

I'm not really sure. It has GOBS more torque than the 4.8, so it just feels faster all around! But, the cam does seem to come on about 3500 or so. The truck pulls great from 105-110 up past 120.

With those gears and that power i bet you've got an awsome top end. My truck hits @ 138 in 3rd at 6300rpms. To shift into 4th i have to go to less than 75% throttle. Then slowly it'll top at @155. Did this with a friend on Rosevelt at about 2am one time.
What do you hit at the top of 3rd?
