Water, Methanol, Alky, injection are all basically the same thing. Some mixture of methanol and water being sprayed in the intake tube to cool incoming air. The meth also acts like an octane booster, so more timing came be ran with out detonation. Some windshield wiper solutions have enough meth to be used as well. I think the name "Alky" comes from a company that makes a very nice meth injection system (the one I use of course) called Alkycontrol. Just about everybody runs a little different set up with meth injection. I spray only meth with no water, some mix 50/50, ect....
