Default made a boo boo how do i fix it

so i bought a 6.0 but did it without thinking. its a 00 iron head, which means its got the longer crank. soo, i dont want to spend 4k to get a stroker kit, ive heard the 5.3 and 6.0 cranks are the same so can i just have my stock crank machined and swap it into the 6.0? or what? i will be getting the alum l92 heads from sdpc and a cam and such. any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

buy a 01+ crank and have it balanced with your pistons and rods. You should be able to get it all done for about $400 depending on what your machine shop charges to balance it.

Nothing wrong with that block, if you have a 4l80e trans, the crank wont be a problem...

I don't understand the problem. What are the differences between a 2000 6.0 and an 03 6.0?

Not trying to hijack, just understand the problem

99-00 6.0's have iron heads and a longer crankshaft that won't bolt up to a 4L60E...

ive done a lot of work with my local machine shop so i usually get a pretty good deal. can i use the crank out of my 5.3 or is it diffrent? ive heard its the same but i dont know for sure. i got a really good deal on the engine and was planning on building it anyway so tearing it down and stuff isnt a big deal. how much hp can a stock crank and rods handle?
