Default NEW Weiand street warrior intake manifold for Gen III and IV motors

I was reading Truckin' Magazine this morning and I saw something I think we should be on the lookout for. Weind will be coming out with a high performance intake manifold which allegedly outperforms the LS6 and maybe even the FAST. It's designed to accomodate a 90mm throttle body and be a direct replacement for the LS1/2/6/L92 heads. Representative at SEMA 2007 said they gained 32hp and 31ft.lbs. over the LS6 manifold on a GTO. it should be coming out in march of this year and retail for $650. I couldn't find it on the Weiand website, but here is a video on youtube about it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DL1RQ...eature=related

that looks good!!

from my years in old school chevy and ford, they have always been the un-noted king per say.
I have seen there manifolds do better than the same style from eddy all over the curve. so, it sounds like they kept the same.

I would like to have one!!

can someone post a pic of this thing? Can't get into youtube from here. Does it require the same amount of front acessory drive modifications as a LS6 swap?

I would like to see independant data on the power differences to shore up their claims... until then I would be highly skeptical. Weiand, IMO had a total failure on their last LSx intake... at least on performance... no idea on sales. I was NOT impressed. Lets hope their new product is a home run.

I like how he says "aluminum".

I'm with Bill on testing.

I think he said they also have an adapter plate for stock sized TB's.

More info and for those who didn't watch the vid this intake is not made by Weiand. It is made by an Australian company and is going to be distributed through Weiand in the US.
Suppose to be available in March or April.
