Default LS6 cam in a 4.8 nnbs

Thinkin about an ls6 cam in my work truck. the little 4.8 needs some extra grunt gettin up hills. and considering it still has a warranty i would like a cam will a stock idle and that would run on the stock tune if i take it in for a warranty. i do not know much about it, does it require a different length pushrods? what do i need to convert to a 3 bolt cam? mine is a 1 bolt right?

i know the NNBS truck 4.8's have LS6 heads on them already so the LS6 cam will be pretty good for it. IIRC u need rods that are .050" shorter (7.350) because the LS6 cam supposedly has a smaller base circle cam but im not 100% sure

Im pretty sure they need to be longer for a smaller base circle.

idk, but yeah, i am sure longer rods are what is "needed" but i think .050 can be taken up by the lifters haha. I have had to problems shifting at 6300.

LS6 cam has a .050 smaller base circle (diameter), so "IF" you wanted to keep preload the same on the lifters you need .025 longer rods, but they are not necessary, right Dustin?
