Also I know I need a good tq converter I was planning on about a 3000 stall with either 3:73 or 3:90 gears

You need to make up your mind what kind of boost you're going to do. Turbos do better with lower gear ratios.

I think for NA applications, most guys skip the 3.90s and go to 4.10s if they're upgrading

I just got confused as hell

Big hp with ease: turbo or supercharger, not N/A bc itll take a ton of cash and motor to make that possible N/A. I wanted a 12 sec truck, i got it with a motor/converter swap. Got unhappy with it. It blows DD a big converter when you want a good DD that wont annoy you every day.
If i had it all over to do again i would have left my 5.3 and boosted it to the moon with a 4L80e.

Tame 13sec truck N/A is easy to do.

Tame street driven monster, that can be done with a turbo or supercharger.

You should search everything you can for Foose04 who is laying down some STRONG numbers and that 4.8 is still kicking like it's straight out of the GM plant with 0 miles

Well I do know that I don't want to go past 3:90 cuz my wife drives the truck quit a bit and it is going to be a DD. alright so basically what yall are saying is if I want to go 13 for cheaper go with boost if I don't have a limit on my money which I do then go for n/a. I'm a little confused just wanting to get some clarity. Cuz I looked at those heads from the links that y'all gave me and I do like then as well as the price and they will let me go up to a 650 lift cam before I have to upgrade springs.

Yea I already gave up on those heads. I think I'm going to get these (http://www.texas-speed.com/p-1172-pr...ted-heads.aspx) with this cam (http://www.texas-speed.com/p-1152-te...-camshaft.aspx.)

the heads are a good choice for a 4.8, the cam you selected...

Texas Speed Magic Stick 3 237/242 .603"/.609" Camshaft

that is a horrible choice for a 4.8, WAY TOO BIG

Better put 4:88s and a 5500 stall or it'll be a complete turd in a 4.8

Do heads if thats what you want. You already have good lifters so slap in a 216/222 or even some more cam if you are really wanting 3:90-4:10 gearing. Add a 3000 stall and some headers. Boom mid 13s easy all day long.

As for the:
"3.73's kbracing t76 n a 3200 multi disk converter. Bam there's ur 13's maybe even 12's!"

Thats 12s all day long if you can get that 4.8 to spool that 76. Id go 70mm an run 10-12psi for a very street friendly/track use.

I'm pretty sure that I don't want to do a turbo setup there's just to much involved. But a nice top end build would be nice with a stall and a good gear. I was looking at texas speed and found this http://www.texas-speed.com/p-1159-pr...m-package.aspx . It looks pretty nice what do y'all think
