I doubt there will be any problems, when they turn on to even low speed they push out more cold air than the clutch fan. When they both turn on it feels much cooler in the engine compartment. I have driven it hard on a day when it was over 80* outside and my temp guage never got up higher than usual. I stopped and popped my hood and the engine bay wasn't even hot at all.

i just bought a used set, i have westers tune. i will be wiring them with a switch. I assume i could use the Flex a lite VSC(i've heard they fail though). Another question won't i need to get some pigtails for the connector for each of the fan motors?? Where can i get them..dealer..how much? does anyone make another controller besides flex a lites, i know DC control has one on their site but it is expensive?

O'Reilly's has a few wiring kits to install them ranging from like $20-$60, but they use the radiator probes instead of PCM control. If you are planning to get a tune I would say to get something like the Nelson harness with PCM control because it seems to be more accurate temp wise.

Yeah i would prolly get the harness but i have westers tuning, don't know if he could tune me for that or not? But you really think the probe ones are that crappy, i mean ppl on here run the flex a lites and they work good they say, but i've heard they just crap out on them. With the nelson's harness is it just plug and play no wiring i would have to do at all?

The wiring is very minimal, I think that it would be more precise with the Nelson harness. I feel that it makes the fans look and feel more stock with Nelson's harness. I wouldn't go with the Flex-a-Lite VSC because I have heard a LOT of complaints about it. I'm sure Westers can tune your PCM for you, any custom tuner should be able to set the on/off temps. With my wiring, I wanted something that would look stock, run off of the PCM like stock fans, and have the pigtails to make sure that all the connections were solid. With his harness there is nothing that could fall off or come undone or anything so it seems more "worry free". I will try to find a few pics of my install and post them up so you can see the wiring harness and mounting that I used.

Here is the only pic I could find of the fans, but I'll try to get a few more tomorrow.

I was using the $35 one from O'reilly's and it worked well for about 5 months, and then out of the blue it just fried. My friends lasted the same amount of time before it fried. I don't know if we both just got unlucky or what, but they worked great then all of a sudden...

I am going to hook up a dual or triple relay setup to the PCM once I get HPtuners.

If you connect up to the PCM for the temp on/off, you don't use a VSC even with the Flex-a-Lite's. You can use the Nelson harness or just do your own wiring. The FAL's crap out because of their old style fuse holder. They have newer styled ones that are now better.
