Thanx you guys for all your input on my subject. I like being able to share these kind of discussions with other truck fanatics. I actually call a Tech Assistance Rep at GM last Monday while I had some free time at work. He did inform me that the stock injectors are only about 5 lbs off from the SS Camaro Injectors. They gave what he called a "variable average" lb. rating from the OEM supplier. So in fact diffrent injectors would work in these engines and the OEM ECM would adjust the Fuel Pressure/Composure Bandwith by itself by doing a mandatory self-diagnostic check within every 30 key cycles. Only need to re-map ECM if you go over 15lb. increase from OEM specs. And by removing the ECM Fuse and the EMIS 1 thru 3 fuses for about 1 minute, then re-installing them and starting the truck would set the ECM into a "closed loop" re-learning mode to adjust to the fuel mod. It would adjust and return to regular operation after it completes sever steps of testing on itself. So, I did exactly what he said. Now my truck runs a little better, most noticeable is the increase in throttle response, not a big amount of noticebale power, but capable of handling future medium perf. mods and deliver better tuned results. I did however notice that I went from the average of 22 to 24 miles per gallon back down to about 19 mpg. Not bad...but now I can't brag as much to all the local F150 and Nissan Titan owners about my great milage and still having more power than them. The local F150 fanatic now get almost the same milage as me....but I can still smoke him. And the Nissan Titan guy's gas milage still sucks badly...but his truck puts up a better race. Just goes to show that no matter what changes...General Motors still makes what I find to be a better looking, better running and more fuel friendly-while-not-sacrificing-power.....man's Truck! what that guy told you is not entirely true. he is talking about something called ltrims. the pcm will adjust part throttle fueling to where it wants it as long as you are within 25% of where it came from stock. if you put in biger injectors the pcm will automaticly pull fuel or goto a negative ltrims(long term fuel trim) to get the part throttle fueling at 14.7. the problem is it will revert to a 0 ltrim at WOT so you will end up way rich anytime you floor it. you will use more gas and run a little slower. i would reprogram for any injector change.

Hey Parish. Thanx for the input. Had a small problem with a rich smell of fuel...said "flooding"....and took it to the service bay and reflased the paramaters of the fuel system bandwith using the good ol Kent Moore GM Tech 2......and have had no problems since. Knock on wood. My ASE Tech is a non-believer in custom or altered flas tune of ECM's.....until I hooked up the web and made him examine this website. Now he want's to make everthing go fast! I contacted Allen @ NelsonPerformance anyway...and I like his information and service with the Tuned ECM. He said he could deffinately take care of my ECM needs. So...now we got to get one on the way. Thanx for your advice.
