Default LS1 Injectors into a 2003 5.3

Anyone have any advice or tips on installing the Delphi 24lb. OEM sprayers on my 2003 GMC 5.3? I already got the OEM connectors from my GM Rep. (part#12576106). So, will I need to change my fuel press.regulator? Any help will be a Heavensent. Thanx

you can do it, here is a link to what will have to be done, thank xlr8nss for this write up http://hauln.net/LS1Tech/truck/fuel_injector/index.html

BUT

you can get up to 43lb injectors that will just go right in. http://www.azspeed.com/muii43lbin.html. much easier, most people only do the conversion when they want to go over the 43lb's

I think the others are right, the only engines that had the 21lb models were the early 4.8L ones. Maybe check the PN again on the stock ones. Also, didn't the LS1 cars have 28lb injectors?

I'm definitely going with the 43lb Delphi Multec II's from Racetronix... That's the best price on them i've seen so far.

Everyone here does know that the stock injectors will support ~425rwhp right ???......and those Multec II's are SERIOUS OVERKILL unless you are running a BIG turbo, those things will support ~1000rwhp with the right fuel pressure

There ain't NO WAY a multec II 43lb(rated at 58psi) injector will support 1000rwhp. At normal fuel pressure(58-59psi) those injectors should be good for 500rwhp maybe just a bit more.

Now you could double the fuel pressure BUT, try to find a pump that can supply fuel at 100+psi and pray that your injectors don't lock up from the high pressure. Pretty much all automobile fuel injectors are not made to operate at pressures like that.
