Default LS1 Fans......Mounting?

I just did the cam swap and still need more power, plus the whole fan and shroud assembly is heavy, ugly and robs me of power. I will get a LS1 fan and Harness from Nelson. How does it mount though? Do I need to make special brackets? Does someone sell brackets?

I used two bolt holes that were already in the radiator support and you can make your own brackets out of pretty much any kind of metal. Here are mine:

Thiems,

Does the bottom just rest where the lower fan shroud was? I see some people did it your way and others bolted the top of the fans directly to the stock mounts, bracing from the bottom.

mine is not quite so pretty, but it works.

the bottom of the fans will sit in the bottom tray, just bolt the top up nice and sturdy. No problems.
I put weatherstripping everywhere the fans touched the radiator just incase..

Correct...mine rests on the bottom of the radiator support. My brackets are just the right length for it to sit down there and if you tighten them down fairly tight, the fans aren't going anywhere...

I did the same as Thiems. I made two top brackets and rested the bottom of the fans on the core support. The fans are made with molded in tabs that fit on the core support. I also split a piece of rubber fuel line and put it over the core support edge before installing the fans so they wont rub.

i used the factory fan shroud, trimmed it down so the fans mounted inside of the shroud. the whole e-fan and shroud assembly come out as a single peice using the factory shroud mounting points. it looks completely factory
