Default LS1 E-fans hook-up

How hard is it to put LS1 E-fans on an 04 Silverado? And where can I find the harness?

Thanks

It's really easy. The fans fit in a channel on the bottom, make brackets out of flatbar, and bolt to the core support using existing bolt holes. Nelson Performance one of our sponsors here sells a nice clean harness. When you get a tune the tuner with have to turn the fans one for you. I have been running this for four years now with no problems.

you can also try to some 05 and newer truck fans that will bolt right in. you still will have to have the pcm tunned for the fans and a harness from Nelson

I ordered a Blackbear electric fan harness from JustinSS. It is cheaper than nelson's, and it comes with an alternator pulley to help with the amperage draw at idle.

You will also need to swap in a 34" radiator if you go that route

I just went and bought the plastic pieces that come with an aftermarket fan and ran them through my radiator and the fans. I have had on problems and didn't have to fab anything. The cost for those pieces was like 9 dollars

Same here, it sits right on the core sup and almost locks in place, use them tabs to mount it snug, go with it. Get ya the harness from nelson. It is a simple easy install, unless you have a blower on the driver side of the engine. Then you will have to extend the hot wires on the harness, but thats not a bigge either.

Can you shoot me a link to these for these pieces? I have Hptuners so turning the fans on won't be a problem. Oh I would have gone with a nice set of 05 Fans but I just bought a house so thats out of my budget price, lol
