yes it works i run them in my truck, in my stangs, in other cars that i installed this same setup in. as for a switch i dont have one only real reason to have one is if you wanted them on say between rounds. but you can always add a switch. its not like you have to completely wire something up again. its a simple plug and play on the vsc

Got through installing my LS1 fans last night, or should i say this morning at 2:30am. It wasnt bad at all. It just took a minute to make the mounting hardware.
I wired mine up to a relay that goes from the hot post under the hood in the fuse box, to the relay, to the fans. And i ran a Radio Shack Mini toggle switch to activate the relay, then ran a Green LED to the switched wire, so i will know when they are on and when they are off.
Tryin to get the factory fan off was the hardest thing! just keep gettin a bigger hammer if you need to. haha
