Default Lq9 6.0 Question

A Cam Out Of A 98 Lq9 (6.0) Would Be Considered A Ls-6 Cam Right?
If So Whats The Advantage If Any Betweent That And A Stock Cam Out Of A 99 Ws6?

A LQ9 cam is not a LS6 cam, they are 2 different cams. The LQ9 is 207/196 and the lsa is 116. What year LS6 cam are you talking about?

WELL I HAVE A CAM OUT OF A 98 LQ9 (6.0) I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE THE SAME AS THE LS-6 CAM, GUESS I WAS WRONG. DO YOU KNOW THE SPECS TO THE CAM I HAVE (98 LQ9)?

You're all mixed up mate. LOL

The LS6 cam only cam in the Z06 Vettes. Not the WS6.

Like stated above there are 2 different LS6 cams. The 01' is generally considered the best for our trucks but the 02' works well also.

They had the 6.0L in 98'? or was it a late year type of thing?

I don't know if they changed cams when they went to aluminum heads, I think a 98 6.0 is a cast iron head motor. Those are the specs from my cam it was a 03 LQ9.

The 6.0 didn't come out till 1999 so you can't have a 98 model cam. The only LSx motor made in 98 was the LS1.

Lightbulb that is correct.

The above is right, no 6.0 motors until 2000..... look at the end of the cam whats the # stamped in it?

There was no 6.0 until 99, and no LQ9 until even later than that (2002 I think)
