lq4, boltons, cam???
I have seen touchofevils thread about this, but it wouldnt come up.
I have a 4.8 rcsb truck. I have a 6.0 shortblock built, just waiting for my cam and other parts to come together.... My question is this, I have a tr224 on a 112, should I use this cam or get a bigger one to compliment the 6.0??? I have a TT3000, so my convertor should be ok. It is my daily driver, so drivability is a concern, I was thinking of a 230ish duration, with a 112 so I can get a bada$$ lope at idle. Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated...

Thats why I asked you guys !!!!!!!! I know what cams do, how they work and all that, but the numbers are CONFUSING!!!!!

Just to throw this into the mist. I have a lq4, after looking into different cams and such, I have decided and went with the tsp 224/581 on 112, undecided on a 2800 or a 3k stall, this is souly based on other peoples set ups that i have seen and looked at, asking them on what they think about it, I might get it in and it be a total pig. i think that cam will work fine in a 6.0 with a stall of 3k, but again i am by no means a cam expert

If you're concerned about driveability...I wouldn't go any bigger.
I have a TR 224/224 on a 114LSA with a TT3000 in my LQ4 and it's a lot different than stock. It's not my daily driver, but I don't like having to explain why my truck acts like it does to a date

I used to be cam-shy but more and more I say go as big as you want with a 6.0.....a 230*/232* .565"/565" 112lsa would be my choice of cams for a 6.0 in a RCSB. you have to remember just how much low-end a 6.0 makes naturally (364cid will ususally do that), so take advantage of the engine architecture and give it enough cam to spin to 6700rpm or so.....you'll enjoy the hell out of it

I have never ridden in a rcsb 1500 with a 6.0, I know they make lots of torque, but never have I seen one with a cam, except on here!!!!
I guess I need to know the power diffrence between my 4.8 and the 6.0. If the 6.0 makes tons of bottom end, I will get a bigger cam.....
