LM7 -> LQ4 swap...
#1
Just making sure I have all of my ducks in a row and about to order the last few parts.
Already have:
2004 LQ4 long block
2004 2WD 4L80E
4L80E jumper harness (Speartech?)
Melling oil pump
intake manifold gaskets (GM)
Front 02 sensors (GM)
oil filter and oil
coolant
Trans crossmember on order (thanks Tyler)
To be ordered:
I have settled on the ZL10 cam from TPIS
My list from Rock Auto - FEL-PRO oil pan gasket set, engine timing cover set, and valve cover gasket set. Crank main bearing seal. (rear) LS2 timing set.
LS6 valve springs, crankshaft bolt, and LS9 head gaskets from SDPC.
eBay - 7.4" $80 pushrods and $90 head studs. (cheap knock offs, but whatever - it's not a race truck)
Am I missing anything? I'm not sure what to do about injectors. I have a stock set out of an LQ4, but they have been sitting for a few years. (Worth having them cleaned? Or just buy new?) I plan to get a basic 87 octane mail order tune to get it up and running. Then have it tuned street/dyno when I find someone local. (Not sure who will tune it yet, not many options anymore)
Thanks in advance...

Transmission crossmember arrived Friday afternoon. Picked up a brand new set of 8.1L 31# injectors cheap yesterday. By what I have read, they will be adequate. (More importantly, a direct swap with no mods required other than in the tune)
Will be ordering gaskets in 2-3 weeks. Thinking of sending the heads to AI for the basic rebuild and clean up. (Can't beat the price @ $400)

driveshaft will work with a th400 slip yoke and a bastard u joint. i have the part # for the u joint at home. i saw somewhere on here that someone found a slip yoke that uses the stock u joint, but i have no idea of the part number for it.

Ended up not sending out the heads, budget just wasn't there. Valve springs are changed, cam swapped. Planning on wrapping up the long block Saturday. Keep forgetting to get a picture of the yoke I have.

Engine is almost ready to come out. Having trouble getting the starter out, and the nuts holding the y pipe to the manifolds will not budge. Going to carefully apply some heat to them tomorrow morning.
