Anybody got any input. I just called LPE and talked to a tech there. He said car craft was there with a 5.3 pickup and gained 30hp with just the cam and an additional 20 when they added headers. didnt say if they were LT's or shorties though. Any input would be great though, Thanks.

Several people here are running them. Have you done a search? Lingenfelter is highly thought of. Whitt1 makes hugh hp and recently went with that cam to improve driveability while not hurting performance too much.

You got the specs on that cam and where you can get it? I've heard of some people that got good deals on it but can't remember where they got it.

I really like the specs and price on that cam. $400 for cam and zo6 springs... Looks like a good sleeper cam.

Camshaft specifications: 207/220 573/.580 w 1.7 rocker 118.5 CL. This camshaft will require GM LS6 valve springs #12586484. . Also sold in a kit with springs see LS1-GT2-3 Kit. Camshafts ground by Competition Cams for Lingenfelter

Here's the specs for StrokerAce03. You can get the kit right from LPE. Thanks for all the input.

I thought that cam was made for Supercharged applications?

Was the 30 horse in a SC truck or was it N/A?

Ive heard that cam rocks w/ a radix, but how is it for N/A compared to....say a 216/220 or a TR220?

I am curious to know thas b/c I want to cam my 5.3 and put an SC on it later...

sorry to hijack!

Well, I run the L 2/3 in my 4.8 and I couldn't be happier with it for what I originally bought it for (LSA for the spray). The cam needs no tuning to run very efficiently, but of course it never hurts. COMP 918 springs work well with the cam (the Ls6 will work, my concern would be longevity). I never got a base line on my truck, but with the cam and other mods in my sig (minus the nitrous) I made 315 hp and 332 tq on a mustang dyno without tuning and 321 hp 348 tq with a mild tune (89 octane / no agressive timing or leaned out a/f mixtures). I believe with an agressive tune and high-test I could see 330 hp to the tire. Of course the recurring question is "Will I loose low end?" The answer is no! Not only do you not loose low end, the HP and TQ curves with this cam are the real story. Peak HP and TQ are great, but this cam made over 300 HP 300 TQ for the better part of the curve. If I had to start over again I would deffinetly buy this cam again.
