Default Lifters..??

Hi guys, my lifters are getting noisy and finally it's time to replace them.. I have some questions, do bad lifters or stock lifters can rob power from my engine? How hard is it to swap the lifters? I know I need to pull my heads off, but, will I have to take out the engine? some people have told me I need to, some other that I don't need to.. What do you think?

Will Lq9's do me any good? Arent they the same as my stock ones? Where can I find Ls7's? Will they hold to the Comp Cam dual gold springs duty?? Or will I need some high performance ones?

Yes, the 6L lifters are same as 4.8/5.3 If you want LS7 lifters, you can order them from the dealership or SDPC to name a few. Part number is 12499225.

Surprisingly that one part that GM used in the majority of there engines and for the most part went unchanged. From 4 cylinders all the way up to the LS series engines.

Actually just did a search and there compatible on 364 different models and trims of Chevrolet vehicles from 1992 to 2009
