The problem is I can't find a stock 6.0 with forged internals for sale. My choices are forged 370ci, forged 402/408 or completely stock. I want forged parts for the strength and would be happy with a regular 6L bore size but I can't find one. So I am looking at 370ci. The extra bore isn't so much for the added hp but for the availability.

This is my best option as of now. Problem is, I read they have a 1-2 week lead time. If I have to wait, I guess I have to wait...What do ya think?
370ci Iron Short Block
6.0L block
Stock Crank Polished and Magna-Fluxed
Callies LS1 Rods
Diamond Pistons(either -2cc or -15cc)
Diamond Pro-Select Rings
Federal Mogul Main Bearings
Federal Mogul Rod Bearings
Clevite Cam Bearings
ARP Main Studs
Short block fully balanced, blueprinted and assembled
Price $3199.99

I have a cam but what is this oil pump that was mentioned before?

You are probably better off with a stock LQ4 Radix setup for your daily driver. With a small cam with reasonable vacuum characteristics and a good exhaust,460 rwhp is easily available with decent fuel economy and good street manners. You can spend more and make more power but I don't think you'll be happy with the results.

I second this, and agree with this option. Besides, you really need a long block anyway, not a short block, and the GM crate engine is the most complete, if not overly.

The shortblock doesn't include an oil pump,so you would need to either reuse[bad idea]or replace your stock oil pump or buy a ported oil pump. You also need a complete gasket set.You also need to assemble everything.

what prices are you geting on stock lq4's? around here they used to sell for around $1000 but i guess they are up to $1500 or so. i might be able to get them to knock that down a little. then add $200 or so to ship it.

they spin test all their motor and have a 3 month warrenty. you want me to see what the exact price is?

I have not seen any LQ4's for sale other than the one I bought and returned. Yes, If you can find one please let me know what they can do for me.

ok, i will give them a call tomorrow.

both motors i got from them came with some extra stuff. intake, injectors, throttle body, exhaust manifolds, some sensors, water pump. i was able to get at least $200 back from selling the extra stuff they gave me. that would apply to the new crate motor too.
