Default Just sprayed the 150 shot rwhp- Need advice.

I just got done spraying my 150rwhp shot. I heard some detonation so I let out of it. My questions are do you think I should put a bigger fuel jet in ?
Maybe a 38 instead of a 35? Also Im not sure if this is going to help any but,
my injectors were running at 40 milliseconds while on the spray.
Please help I am about to go to the track here in april.

Thanks for any advice.

What octane fuel?
Any timing retard?
What fuel pressure?
What bottle pressure?
What nozzle and jets on either?

I am running 93 amocco.

No, timing retard- I know that i should but thought i could get away with it.
Fuel pressure is at 58psi far as i know last time i checked it. Not sure when i was spraying.
Bottle was at 750 PSI.

I am using a nitrous work kit. The jets I am using are 62 on the nitrous side and 35 on the fuel side.

Also I have changed my plugs to NGK TR6's.

Thanks for any input.

if you add more fuel, your just adding to the fire, i would take some nitrous out of it. go to a 58 or so then work from there. also, 750 is not that good on bottle pressure. I keep my bottle atleast 950. youll get a big difference just from bottle pressure. also what gap is your tr6's at?

They are gapped at .38.

So adding more fuel won't help ?
I thought detonation meant its not getting enough fuel????

if you add more fuel, its going to detonate more(as much as that doesnt sound right), i thought the same thing when i first hooked up my nitrous. my tr6s are gapped at .032 so maybe try a lower gap? i bought a jet kit off ebay for 75 buks and it included every het from 25-75. That was the easiest way for me to tune it. swapping jets is really easy so keep trying and see what works best. also, what do your plugs look like after being sprayed?

p.s. your truck is now addicted to crack !!

Plugs look fine. Nothing wrong with them at all. Yea I have sprayed my 125 (crank hp) shot many times with no problems. I have probably sprayed that about 200 times. Gone through at least 10 bottles with that shot with no problems.

HAHA!! My truck has been addicted to crack for a while now Im just overdosing it at this point.

oh ok, lol i started with a 50 shot, which was my first nitrous experience, then directly to a 150. i did that for 18 bottles, then 175, then 200 for a while. then BOOM!! tranny went bye bye!! lol. I dont think it liked the slicks

Yea I am on my third tranny at this point in time. I dont understand thou. You were running a 200 shot? And I am only running a 150 rwhp shot and I am hearing detonation. These plugs are kinda old, maybe I need to change them out????... I am not exactly sure what to do at this time.
I want to go to the track but I need to get rid of this detonation as well.
Think I should put some CAM2 in it. Even thou this may **** up my catalytic converter.

I have a rwhp 100 wet shot and I also get detonation if I run any lower than 93 octane. I have an 89 ocatane tune and ngk 6. I know that if I pull timiing or lower my tune I know that might enable me to run a lower fuel grade but Im like you, I dont want to suffer on my NA performance.
