Default Iridium or copper plugs for blower

I am going to put NGK TR6's on my truck when i put the blower on, should i get the copper version or spend the extra cash for the iridiums? I have an 03 SS, and they came with platinums, is it ok to use iridiums on it? what should i do.

Nate

I don't know of anyone on here that has used iridiums in a blown application. I'd be a little scared of the tiny electrode getting hot and causing it to detonate. I'd go with the regular copper TR6's. You'll save alot of $ too.

That is for sure! I personally think the stock plugs are the best.

I wanna go with a colder plug though because i have no intercooler so i figured it would be a way to keep temps down a bit. So then i guess the consensus is copper?

Sounds like people have been using them with blowers with good results. I use one on my 2-stroke dirtbike, and it NEVER fouls. I use the coppers on my truck though. 8 iridiums would be expensive!
