I've asked this question a hundred times and just trying to get this 100% correct. Is there a certain part number on the pulley puller i need to take off my stock crank pulley, i'm installing ASP pulley. i know i need a 3 jaw puller, i got one from autozone but the bolt was too small for the hole. Can someone help me out. thanks

They have two sizes for rent, I think I used the smaller one.

This will only get the pulley off a little bit at a time (however much you loosen the bolt before the pulley hits it again) but it works. ***I think I put a 1/2'' extension on the end of the puller bolt to gain the extra threads to turn.
I'll try to find some pictures if this doesn't help

This ain't rocket science. Don't make this harder than it has to be. You take the crank bolt out. I used a chain wrench that plumbers use on cast iron pipe to keep the factory balancer from turning while I removed the bolt. Install the 3 leg puller. Screw the bolt almost all the way in, but leave enough room for a big heavy duty hex nut than will sit against the crank snout. The diameter or the hole in the hex nut must be small enough that the puller bolt point goes only about half way into the face of the nut. The nut bucks the puller bolt. The crank bucks the hex nut. Now the only thing that moves is the pulley. You still have to keep the crank from turning while your tightening up on the puller bolt so keep the chain wrench handy. Just be sure to tell your factory pulley thatit is a piece of cast iron pipe and it will believe you and jump off of the crankshaft.
