i did some tuning and made 6 runs, this thing is really consistant all the sudden, i might just be starting to figure it out.
13.62 for the first run, stock 5.3 tuning, 4-7deg of KR thru the entire run with 15deg of timing, 5200shift point and auto4wd, yesterday i ran a 13.59 and a 13.69 so it seems prety consistant especialy compared to the 1sec swings i was seeing a few months ago
13.63 for the next run everything was the same except i added 10% more fuel, still got the same KR
13.54 3rd run, added 15% fuel, 0 kr up to 65mph then at the 2-3 shift a spike that tapered right down.
13.76 4th run, added 20%fuel, knock was back, fuel presure gauge diped at the 2-3 shift
13.51 5th run, put it back to 15%fuel, very little knock, raised shift points to 5800, lots of slipage out of the hole, didn't keep track of my mph but i know this was the highest so far 102.7mph(gtech).
13.39 6th run, same as previous run but locked in 4wd, not auto 4wd. i also watched my 0-60 on the gtech and it shows a 4.71sec.
i wouldn't be suprized if there is another 1/10 in there with some finer tuning, it is prety cold out so i will probably have to start over next summer or get some water injection.

That beast is getting there. Did you ever think about getting some stick tires (ET Streets) and running it through 2wd? Isn't there a lot more drivetrain loss when in 4x4? If so, maybe that is enough to get you closer to the 12 mark.

ok, i just turned it up to KILL, any guess what i will run, i am on my way out the door now to do a run.
8psi pully up from 6psi
30% zylene mix, about 100 octane now
less than 1/4 tank of gas, close to 1/2 tank before
some weight reduction, spare, jack, back seat, hitch. kept the gate.
lets see if i can break something

It is interesting that you got more KR with more fuel (normally pings when it is lean) I will have to break out the AutoTap for my N2O and see if I may be running too rich causing the small amount of KR on my truck.
I have got a little something in my truck now and will post soon about it, but I know I won't be catching you even with the new parts inside.
Parish now you need the **signature mod

well shucks, no 12's yet, i was really hoping that would get me into the 12's.
i made 2 runs, one each direction, 13.11 and a 13.12. my 0-60's were 4.44 and 4.45
i was hoping for 12's but i am very happy with that, i can't believe how consistant it is. the zylene seems to be working great, the only KR i had prety much all came in at the launch and it is a prety harsh launch so it wouldn't suprize me if something was moving and banging and setting them off.
this is about as far as i can go without spending more money. my injector duty cycle was at 108% so they are finished(mr mix, i should have goten the 50's ), my fuel presure diped at the 2-3shift about 5psi. o2's droped from around .94 to .90 at that point. my maf was reading 48lb/min and i was only seeing 7.25psi. i think with the good gas i could go at least to 8, maybe 9psi but i would need a pump and injectors to do that.

Well, It looks as if your trials and tribulations have paid off...12's should be yours in a hurry. Be nice to see a boost vehicle breaking the 12 sec mark...none the less a 4wd tank of a vehicle.
Being KR was such an obstacle to you, have you done any testing on inlet air temps before and after the compressor? Have you checked cylinder head temps vs coolant temps?
I just figuired you may be able to combat some of this detonation through cooling instead of having to use your "homebrew." Have you considered an electric pump or may some Evans NPG? I have dabbled in this area but wont know what to expect until the new motor/combo goes in.

huge!!!! seat of the pants, it is alot more fun to drive, i can be going 40mph in 2wd and floor it and starts pealing out, it is soo cool. the launch is unreal out of the hole in 4wd, i wish i could get the 60' times, the new gtech has 60's times. i am not sure but it seems like 0-60 in 4.44sec is prety damn good.
as far as cooling, my coolant holds 172deg, air intake shows 90deg even though it is only 40deg out(looks like a place for improvement), i don't plan on running the homebrew just wanted to see some 12's but didn't get there. i think 12's could be awhile unless i drop some more weight. going to need a fuel pump and injectors to puch it much harder.
