Default Installed TBS!

I finally got my Helix Power Tower TBS to fit with my K&N FIPK, I love the whistling sound the TBS gives when you accelerate. I can definitely tell the difference in performance, More Torque! Great mod IMO. Will have pics soon!

I thought I good feel a little difference with mine (down low and mid rpms), felt a tad slower up top though. Alot of people say they don't make much difference. I'm glad you liked yours
By the way, How did you get it to fit w/ the K&N FIPK?

IM GLAD SOMEONES SEEING A POSITIVE DIIFERENCE OUT OF THE TBS. I TOOK MINE OFF. IT WAS HURTING MY LOW END TO MUCH. FELT LIKE I WAS DRAGGING AN ANCHOR. BUT THE HIGHER RPMS DIFFINETLY WHERE IMPROVED BY THIS MOD. WHEN I TOOK IT OFF I GAINED SOME BOTTOM END BACK BUT LOST ON THE TOP END.BUT I THINK I IMPROVED THE TOP END AGAIN BY TAKING THE HPPIII TUNING OUT OF THE COMPUTER. RUNS LIKE A MAD DOG NOW.
BUT IM GLAD YOUR HAVING LUCK WITH YOURS.

99SilveradoSS, I got it to fit by cutting about 1/4inch off of the lip of the KIPK tube (the end that touches the throttle body) and the just cut a notch out of the fan shroud and thats all there was to it. At first I cut the fan shroud but it still touched the fan itself so thats why its necessary to cut a little off the K&N tube. Fits great.

I installed a big Radix throttlebody spacer on my Tahoe and you can really feel the difference. In my opinon spacers are a waste of money.Save that money to pay for mods that give real performance gains like headers,UPD or tuning.
