installed LT what a B****

i installed my pacesetter LT last night what a pain in the *** that was. it wouldnt be that bad if i had some help and a lift but doing it yourself is a pain in the ***. first i undid the plug wires ripping two of them apart
, then undid the y-pipe and the rest of the exhaust stripping one bolt attaching the y to the manifolds, and one attaching the y to the rest. ended up cutting the bolt the ataches the y to the rest of the exhaust. and tryed cutting the bolt attaching the y to the manifolds, after 2 blades i just cut the y pipe
. took off the manifolds and found a broken bolt.
tryed welding another bolt to the end, didnt work. tryed using vise grips after 20 min. and a whole turn later i gave up. went and found a socket that would hardly fit on the end hammered it on the bolt, put a socket wrench on it and was done in 20 sec.
installed headers and gaskets tightened everything up, put in o2 sensors in and was done. all in all about 5 hours, damn im slow
couple of tips:
take out inner fender on p side it makes it easyer to get to bolts.
use a socket hammered on a broken bolt to take broken bolts out.
did everyone elses headers smoke at first. i guess just burning off all the ****

did you have any pb blaster? that woulda helped with your bolt probs IMO. wd40 is not a substitute! i swear, i sprayed about a gallon of wd40 on my y pipe and couldnt get it loose. one litle squirt of penetrating oil and it came off like it wasnt even tightened down

oh nm, i had to use one of those on my old silverado because the heater hose broke off inside of the motor because it was all corroded. i ended up using a chisel because the easyout didnt work for me.

thanks i dont feel so retarded now, so 5 hours is about average because of stupid stuff.
tx: your right wd40 sucks even though i went threw a whole big can.
01: iv never had any luck with easy outs, iv had a few brake. i like my socket idea but it only works if there is some bolt sticking out, i had about 3/4 inch
i had to drive it to school this morning about 5 min away damn what a loud SOB. but it was great there was some head turning going on. and my neighbors hate me.
