Default I was thinking of getting the UPD intake, but...

I was wondering if anyone actually did a before and after comparison with it. As in increased/decreased gas mileage, SOTP feel, etc.

And which one would look good on a pewter truck, black, smoked, clear, carbon fiber...

i don't have any actual numbers but i can tell it significantly helped the mileage. it also made the truck feel a lot stronger up top.

and i put a black one on my pewter truck. just cuz it was the cheapest. i don't really pop my hood too often and i really think its just a matter of yur own opinion.

99RedHawk posted dyno numbers showing a consistent 20-23 HP increase across the range a week or so ago. It is on this forum somewhere. My butt-o-metter isn't finely tuned, but it did make a big difference in throttle response for my Z-71. Nineball posted pics about a week ago of his smoked UPD, it looked great. I went with black for a more stealthy "factory" look.

One last thing... I have heard (unconfirmed) that the carbon fiber looking lid comes with the black tubing, not like the smoked and clear which come with matching tubes.
