Default How can I level my ride?

I want to rid my truck of that jacked-up-in-the-back look. It's a 99' 2500 4x4 EC LB. It's not a Heavy Duty and has a near level stace when a about 1800lb camper is in the back. I got to looking at the leaf springs the other day and they rest on a spacer that separates them from the axle. The spacer is about 2" tall. I was thinking of just removing the spacers or if that aint a good idea to cut and reweld them to shrink em' down a little.
Any suggestions or tips?

Thanks

not 100% sure since you have a LD2500 but on the 1500's you can just pull out that block. you will need shorter u bolts though. i just got a set of u bolts from a 15002wd.

the other thing you can do is crank up your tortion bars a little, you can probably get close to 1" without messing up your ride much.

Thanks. I'll do the rear first and maybe try the torsion bars if I still want more.

If it's 4x4, then why lower the back? Crank up the torsion bars, it will look a lot better!

"No Fat Chicks"!

If I could lower the front and back, I would do it. Makes it a hell of alot easier to load the dirtbike or fourwheeler. I don't offroad with it at all... just need the 4wd for the winters. I measured today and there is a 3.5" difference in the gap from the top of the tire to the bottom of the wheelwell from front to back. If I can eliminate the spring perch I can get it down to about a 1.5-2" difference.

if thats what your shooting for you can do shackels too, that will give you another 1" in the rear.

i did the block removal and shackels for 3" in the rear and droped the front about 1" with the tortion bars, looks like a 2wd but has the 4wd launch, you will probably want to get an alignment when you get it to the height you want.
