Make sure you do tap into the AC lines. Running the AC without the fans on at a stop can actually build up enough pressure in the system to blow the AC lines (usually around the condensor). Good luck!

I tapped into the DARK GREEN wire that enables the A/C relay. I used that wire to turn ON a relay that is one of the enables for my fans. The other is a Flex-a-lite Adjustable Thermostat which goes to another relay. This way my fans come on when the water temp at the radiator inlet neck is 185 degrees OR the A/C compressor kicks in. I soldered in waterproof fuse holders for everything to finish off the job. It works real well and the Meziere electric water pump keeps my engine so cool that the fans only work about half the time.
