Thanks everyone or your input. (Including 02sierraz71_5.3 )

When I was asking earlier, I was looking for people with actual experiance putting heads on a 5.3. It seems not many have actually done it.

I just got off the phone with Richard at WCCH. He is a real nice guy and offered lot's of info. Anyone else looking might want to give him a call.

I had 2.00" valves on a 5.3 with worked heads. Here check this out.

tsp ls6 stage 1's http://texas-speed.com/shop/item.asp?itemid=649 there you go!
have them milled, run a thinner gasket to keep up the cr.
whats the point of running thinner gaskets if im going to have the heads milled anyway? wont they mill them to where they need to be?

i would think it would cost more by the more you mill off, just like boring cylinders out.
you have to buy new head gaskets anyway.

Better quench is less prone to detonation with higher compression ratios

The search button is your friend. I've commented on numerous 5.3 head swap threads recently, just look for them.

Here is my experience with my head swap. WCCH heads
