Default Which Heads for Lq9 with 228r

2003 Silverado SS
ok im going with an FLT Level 5 tranny, PI Vigilante multidisc 9.5" (3200-3400)converter, TSP 228r 112lsa cam. got the efans and 8.1 marine injectors.

Question! which heads should i get?? i plan on getting a head and cam package from Texas Speed. they have pretty good package prices. just not sure which heads will work and what i should go with? im told there might be clearance issues with the L92s even tho they seem popular. also that will accept my stock intake.thanks

your intake wont work with l92s , i'd say 243's baically the stock heads.

With the SS you have the LQ9 and your already near 10.1 with 317 heads.

Stick with the 317 as the 243 will put you in the race gas zone.

There gonna flow close to the same once ported any ways.

I'm gonna go with ported and polished 243's. still be able to run pump gas. Prob push compression up a little below 11. Will be fine.

Iron block LS2 with 243's. Will be fine on pump premium.
