Default heads

i was curious if there are any performance heads for a 2007 4.8 silverado i have a 112/118 cam and shorty headers i know i need to get rid of the shorty headers and i know getting rid of the 4.8 for the 5.3 would be better but id like to keep the 4.8 thanks ahead of time for any advice

There's tons of quality head porters out there, PRC (Texas Speed), WCCH, AFR, TEA, to name a few.

You can visit any of these sites and look up prices, but anywhere from $800 to $1600 for porting. Maybe more without exchange.

WCCH and SDPC both have stage 2 CNC ported heads geared toward the smaller bore of the 4.8/5.3

They start at $899 and go up from there.

Have you considered turbo? Ported heads won't gain you much, it is a good upgrade but like most mods the hp per dollar is very low.

Turbo is a big jump in price $3000-$5000 but it is the only way you will make that 4.8 go faster then a turtle. Look around at the turbo 4.8 guys around here and you will see what I am talking about.

Well I'm 19 so 3000 really isn't on my price range at the moment. But it would be nice I have a 100 shot of nitrous at my house in Michigan just never put it on, I'd just like to get to low 13sec in the quarter n/a
