well, i've had a bad exhaust leak for about 2 weeks now and i've done everything. i changed the header gaskets, tightened the header bolts, tightened the collecter flange and checked all that, all the welds on the exhaust looked good and didn't show any real signs of leakage and it was starting to bother me that everything was good and couldn't find the leak. well, finally friday i was checking one last time and saw something weird, the weld on the flange to the #1 primary was fried....completely busted. what the heck is this all about? what should i do? just fix it myself or call edelbrock and get another set sent to me and then put the long tubes on and sell the FREE shorties. i've never seen anything like a primary weld breaking.

Contact Edelbrock ... they are good with their warranties ... you will be expected to pay shipping and they will not reimburse labor but they will replace them. Get an RA from the customer service department. It is really NOT that uncommon ... you have about the 8th set (not particularlly the truck headers) that i have seen this on.
