header install

I like to hit the heads of the bolts with a hammer. It can break the adhesion the bolts will have with the block.

not to thread jack this post but seems like an appropriate spot to ask since so many of you just did header install recently. im in the middle of doing mine and the passenger side was cake but the driver side is giving me a few issues. first off how did you guys get the bolt closest to the firewall off? i cant seem to get anything in there that i can get enough everage on to break it free. second is how did you get the stock header off? from top or bottom? did you have to take the steering shaft aprt to do it?
