I've read on the other header threads that WD-40 doesn't work well....it's not a penetrating lubricant.

what about the install of the ORY?? or for those of us who dont weld, would it be best ot leave it open header and saw the exhaust off and drive it to the local muffler shop to have them weld the ORY on?

The install doesn't take that long. You do have to remove the old exh manifolds and cat Y pipe. That takes a while. You need some good jackstands to get the truck high enough off of the ground to make it easy to work under and a good creaper helps big time. The two sets of Pacesetters I did recently went in easy from the bottom. It helps if you have someone around to get the two end flange bolts started and then you can finish by yourself. I put never seize on all of the slip fittings. It helps when your sliding everything into position because it's so slippery and it is also supposed to help if you ever have to remove them in the future which I'm hoping never happens. The OR Y pipe bolts right up to the stock muffler flange. Nice. With those long tube and OR Y pipe and aftermarket dual rear outlet catback with a big cam and stageII heads my truck sounds bad as hell. When I ride thru a parking lot all the alarms go off. It's like what happens at an NHRA race when the fuel cars run. When they shut down at the finish line you can hear all the alarms echoing from the parking area.

when i did mine it was just the headers, it wasnt that bad and this was the first time iv done something like this. i know what you mean i was hopping my dad would come out to the shop and help, yeah he was snoring about 30 min after i started. do it on the weekend so there might be someone that could help. i did mine on thur and everyone i knew had work or school in the morning so i was screwed. a second person would have been nice but not hard to do you self.
