If you do end up unbolting the steering shaft, make sue that you don't let the steering wheel swing around, if it looses it's place you could end up breaking the clock spring for the airbag system...

Oh, and does anyone know how much a torque wrench would cost me? When we did the 6.0 swap I was just told to make the header bolts "very tight". Now I see your supposed to do a first pass of 11 lbs and the final pass of 18lbs

On the header bolts, use a box wrench, start from the middle out, get them pretty snug first pass, and a decent tug next. They can be ***** tight, they are small..

alright then I wont worry about the torque wrench. I never had any problems just tightening them down snug. Let's just hope none of the 8 bolts snap on me. I've still got one lodged inside my head partially

well are you going to give any details? Did you take apart the steering shaft? What about the red box or wiring loom going to the intake?

I did pick up the jack and jackstands from HD for $80.

You shouldn't have to undo any of the wire loom, I didn't have to undo any wires
