Default H pipe or X pipe for my new exhaust??

Well I just got my pace setters in today and will need to modify the exhaust and I want to add cut outs and an H or an X pipe. Which one will sound better and which one will give me the most benifit? Is one louder than the other? My exhaust set up will be pace setter longtubes pipe through cats with flowmaster 40 series on 2.5 pipe true dual.
Any help on what to get would be nice. Also has any one made their on H or X pipe and if so how did you make it Thanks.

From what I understand if you run an X pipe you will get more performance from them. But if you get an H pipe you are going to get a louder sound than than the X. I am planning on going with the X just to get a better peformance out of it.

I have one. The installer made it by cutting a small hole in each pipe facing each other. Then he took some small pipe stock and beveled each end so it fit flush to the round pipes. He brazed it all and sealed it up nice. It would be pretty easy if you had the tools.

I have NO connecting pipe. TWO pipes from the exhaust manifolds, all the way the the TWO 4" tips out the back. I don't see why anyone would do it any other way.

my concern is the why my is sounding with two pipe back all the way. It has a lose poppy sound and I was told an X or H pipe would fix it

Loose poppy sound is normal without some type of crossover pipe. Ive heard trucks/cars with 1 pipe all the way back that sound great, and others sound like ***. Never heard an X-pipe on an LS-1 motor, but the H-pipes always sound really sick.

Default Exhaust and x-pipe pics

What do you guys think of the position my exhaust turn-downs are in....i told the guy to place them right before the differential....here's some pics...including the x-pipe...there seems to be grease or oil stains on my differential, i've seen the same on other trucks, is that normal??
