My Advice....
The 5.3 Is A Great Motor.... But It Is Definitely Getting Old At 125,000. It May Hold Up For 20 Miles Or 20,000
The Trans If Its The Original.... Will Probably Be On Its Way Out Soon... If Its The 4l60e Which Im Sure It Is.... It Will Most Likely Blow Up Very Quickly When Dealing With Blown Power
The Diff Should Be Fine As Long As Its Been Well Maintained.

If I were you, which I'm not, I'd spend the money elsewhere. If you plan on keeping your truck...the $4500 or more could go to a new 6.0 for about $2000 or so, and a new level 5 trans for about $2-$2500. Then you would have a NEW motor and NEW trans. You could remove the TM at that point and with a few bolt on's run in the low 14's or better. With the blower you'd run about the same...unless you upped the boost...and then it would hurt the trans and possibly the motor. It would basically be a ticking time bomb. The new motor and new trans would put NEW life back into your truck. Thats my 2 cents.
