looks like the 4.8 is a bit soft off the line, but appears to crank well once under boost. impressive how quick that thing goes at around stock duramax boost levels. good thing you have it as a spare.

Its time for cal tracs and drag radials Jim. I have pulled a 1.51 60ft on 235/60's so I knwo you can go 1.4's or better as far as 60's go. Keep that 8.5" in there too, everything else is too damn heavy lol.

BTW my blender goes 9's.

There was one F-body guy who had some trouble with his waiste gate i think and spiked something like 35psi boost. On the boost spike he also skiked the HP over 1100 to the wheels.

Spend an hour and slap in some stiff springs and stiffer WG spring, and push it up to 30psi at 6000rpms. That would make for some good dyno numbers.

changing valve springs and wg spring and then tuning for more boost is well over an hour, thats not the problem though. it is the cost of the dyno. i need to get hooked up with someone that has a dyno.

i kind of have a feeling if i went thru the work and then started at 18psi and worked up that we would run into a new limit of something real quick.

How much do you pay per hour on the dyno?
