You didn't recently drop that gtech then kick it around. Those are some pretty amazing times. Now lets see that 408

I say before you put the 408 in you give the 4.8 all she'll take just to see how far it'll go.....you'll probably be the only person on the planet ever to achieve 600+hp out of a 4.8 liter V8
wg spring change and valve spring change and who knows. it would be fun to see. i really have to wonder if it would let go or not. the turbo is good to 35+psi. it would have to let go at that boost.... wouldn't it?

I miss quite a bit when I was down...what happend to the 6.0L engine you had in there? Also what do you think it would run in 2WD/slicks instead of 4HI launches? You going to upgrade the rear end soon too?

I would of installed a 10.5" 14 bolt but man they weight a ton! Reason I went with the 9.5" 14 bolt that they use in the SS454/lite duty 3/4 tons....was a bolt in afair! I do need to get rid of the heavier drums and switch to disk brakes.

2wd with slicks? if you could get it to hook i would think .3 or so quicker. right now there are several lightning guys pulling low 1.5's and a couple in the 1.4x 60' times so i know it can be done if thats the route someone wanted to go.

i blew up the 6.0 with a nitrous mishap and have been running the original 4.8 for awhile. Cmotorsports give me a killer deal on a bad *** 408 and it is finialy done!!!

i think the rear will be ok for awhile, no slicks. i might try some drag radials sometime but i think it will be ok with that. it is the front i am worried about.

it is kind of confusing. i was all ready corecting for my pasenger(-.2) and for the gtech variance(+.3) that i have seen in the past. all that leaves is corecting for the other 200lbs, that would be .1 or a little more quicker is all.

another way of looking at it would be drop 400lbs and run .3 quicker and then add in the gtech variance of .3 so i think i could run what it actualy says. this would have to be on a cold day at the track.
